Easter egg hunt extravaganza returns to Ayscoughfee Hall and Gardens on Good Friday
Spalding and Holbeach Macmillan Cancer Support is holding an Easter egg hunt in conjunction with Ayscoughfee Hall and Gardens in Spalding writes Georgie Van Dyke.
Running from 10.30am to 2.30pm, the event will be held on April 19, Good Friday.
A range of activities will be on offer, including the egg hunt, a colouring competition and various outdoor games. Plus, the Spalding Guardian and Lincolnshire Free Press mascot Spike will also be making an appearance.
Last year’s event was attended by around 1,500 people and proved to be a great success and a wonderful day for all of those who were there.
Entry is £2.50 for children of all ages and there’s an Easter hamper up for grabs which will be given to the winner of the colouring competition.
Clues will be hidden around the beautiful gardens and the letters will make up an Easter word. Children can then hand their entries in, in exchange for an egg.
Local organisations have supported the event by donating Easter eggs for the day.
The committee is hoping that the weather will be great but, if the sun isn’t shining, the event will still take place, but inside Ayscoughfee Hall.
