Gypsy jazz returns to Crowland Abbey
From the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall to the Montreal Jazz Festival, Remi Harris is widely renowned as one of the UK’s top gypsy jazz guitarists.
And on Sunday, September 23, he returns to Crowland Abbey for another uplifting performance.
Harris and his double bassist, Simon Smith, will perform various tracks which have been described as a mixture of gypsy swing, jazz, blues, rock and world music.
He plays a range of original pieces, improvisations and new arrangements for his favourite songs, from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green and many more.
Described by BBC Radio 2’s Jamie Cullum as ‘an extraordinary musician,’ he is growing his reputation as a boundary breaking artist and a must-see for any music enthusiast.
Tickets are £10 in advance or £12.50 at the door, available online from www.ticketsource.co.uk or through Bridge Hardware, Crowland.
