A mixture of events are taking place in Spalding and Whaplode catering for all




There are a range of different events coming up in the area and we have all the details you need to know.

If you didn’t manage to get out on Valentines Day earlier in the week, fear not.

Act II theatre company are hosting a ‘Valentines Peek - A - Boogie!’ on Friday, February 17 (tomorrow).

This event is for children, aged seven and under, and will run between 10.30am until noon.

Children can enjoy disco dancing, music, games and interactive ‘silliness.’

Booking for this event is not required and everyone is welcome to come along.

It will cost £3.60 per child and is taking place in Unit One Welland Business Park.

A brand new production promises theatregoers ‘An experiential ghost story, unlike anything you have ever experienced before.’

Do you believe in ghosts? will be taking place at the South Holland Centre on Saturday, May 20 from 7.30pm.

The new production is touring nationwide throughout the year.

Show creator James Taylor said he “guarantees a haunting night at the theatre.”

During the performance the audience will experience ghostly stories of the spirits who call the theatre their home and what happens when the place goes dark.

Over 18s are advised to attend.

Another event to get booked into your diary are the lovely snowdrops and aconites on display at St Mary’s Church Whaplode.

The wild display can be found in a secluded part on the churchyard with newly developed pathways.

Visitors can enjoy the beautiful display of nature, a hot bowl of soup, local sausage rolls and a variety of locally baked cakes.

The lovely displays will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. It will also be held on Saturday, February, 25 and Sunday, February 26.
