Next month is the return of the Lincolnshire Heritage Open Days Festival, which sees many of our local landmarks and buildings free to the public to visit.

Among those will be Crowland Abbey, Pinchbeck Engine Museum , Baldocks Mill in Bourne, The Old Kings Head in Kirton and Spalding Gentlemen’s Society.

This year’s theme is ‘Picturing the Past’, and there will be events and activities for all ages and interests.

The festival runs over two weekends in September, from the 6-9, and the 13-16.

Look out for a copy of the brochure or visit the website at www.heritagelincolnshire.org for a full list of all the venues included in the festival.
