A Spalding based theatre company will be performing a classic tale at The South Holland Centre
A much-loved musical is set to bring a classic storyline to the South Holland Centre this weekend.
Act II Theatre Company will be performing ‘The Sound Of Music’ from Wednesday, March 29 to Saturday, April 1.
The performance will include classics such as Do - Re - Mi, Sixteen Going On Seventeen, The Lonely Goatherd and So Long and Farewell.
Young performers from around the district will be taking part in the shows alongside a 14 piece live orchestra.
Director Charlotte Gernert said: “The Sound Of Music is such a well-regarded show, and regularly tops polls of people’s favourite musicals, its appeal is timeless and enduring.”
She added: “We feel privileged to be able to add another chapter to the show’s illustrious history.”
The junior cast will perform on Wednesday, March 29 and Friday, March 31.
The senior cast are then set to take the stage on Thursday, March 30 and Saturday, April 1.
There will also be a ‘relaxed performance’ in the afternoon of Saturday, April 1, at 2.30pm.
Booking prices are £12 for adults, £10 for concessions and for groups of ten or more it costs £9 each.
