Don’t miss out on these events in Moulton, Long Sutton, Holbeach St Marks and Gedney Drove End




Celebrate the King’s Coronation in style with the vast amount of events taking place across the district.

Moulton will be lighting up the skies for King Charles III with their Lantern Parade on Saturday, May 6.

Visitors should meet at the Moulton Mill at 7pm with the parade leaving at 7.30pm and travel along High Street to the Community Centre which will be serving hot dogs.

A piper will guide attendees to the Beacon which will be lit at 9.15pm – don’t forget to bring your own lanterns to help lead the way.

Moulton will also be hosting a Coronation Picnic on Sunday, May 7.

Take down your own picnic and enjoy the atmosphere at Moulton Harrox Field, starting from 1pm.

Children can be entertained by face painters, craft stalls and coronation goodie bags.

There will be music by Antoine Fleuriot in the afternoon, as well as an open bar raffle and tables and chairs set out.

Long Sutton present an evening of celebrations at Winfrey Park on Friday, May 5.

The Parish Council has organised fairground rides, food stalls, the lighting of the beacon and fireworks display to finish at 9pm.

Events and activities will not stop as on Sunday, May 7 there will be music, craft stalls, a dog show, vintage vehicles and much more.

Both days are free to attend and everyone is welcome.

In Holbeach St Marks the Church Yard will become a showpiece for the Coronation as it will be lit after dark in red, white and blue to showcase the stained glass windows.

After visitors have enjoyed watching the Coronation everyone is welcomed to enjoy a fish and chips van in the village hall between 7.30pm and 9pm.

Take advantage of the open bar which will be serving beers, lager, wine and pimms.

The event will conclude at 9pm when the beacon will be lit.

If you fancy raising some money while celebrating the coronation then head over to Gedney Drove End on Sunday, May 7.

The event will include a yard sale and scarecrow competition with entrance money going towards air ambulance.
