Organisers of Pinchbeck Carnival are hoping for a big turnout

A popular village carnival is back and promises to be a colourful occasion.

The Pinchbeck Carnival is set to return on Saturday, June 10, and the committee is hoping for a big turnout.

It will be held at the Pinchbeck Rotton Row Playing Field which will be open from 12 noon and is free to attend.

The recently crowned carnival queen will be opening the event followed by a vintage car and tractor procession.

Visitors can enjoy the live entertainment by The Sound Injectors and the RSB Band, different craft stalls, raffle, tombola and more.

Vice Chairman John Pailing said: “We are very pleased we can invite the public back to our village carnival and call it a carnival again.

“We are looking forward to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight – weather permitting, and I’d encourage everyone to bring their family down to have a good day.”

Enjoy the bar and community atmosphere as the event aims to help voluntary organisations in the village to carry on with the carnival next year.

Later on attendees can enjoy a bingo night led by Dave Mustoe, held at Pinchbeck Church Hall with doors opening at 6.30pm for eyes down at 7pm.
