Don’t miss out on some fun in the sun this weekend in Holbeach and Spalding




Get ready for a jam-packed weekend of events taking place across the district that you won’t want to miss.

If you fancy heading back in time to the middle ages this event will be great for you. The Holbeach Medieval Festival is set to take you back in time at a free event which will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday.

This is the organisers’ second festival, which they hope will be bigger and better than the previous year.

Visitors can enjoy the weekend fun from 10am until 6pm on Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sunday at Carter’s Park in Holbeach.

There will be a sword fighting tourney, living history encampments, minstrels, jesters, jugglers, dancers and falconry along with lots more.

Throughout the weekend Albearto The Dancing Bear will be available for bear hugs and photos.

The Lincolnshire Makers Market is set to return for another great line of up stalls with over 40 to browse through in the sun.

It will be held at the iconic Sessions House in Spalding on Saturday, July 1 and will run from 10am until 4pm.

There will be a wide range of independent businesses offering different art, prints, jewellery, homeware, decor, woodwork, flowers and much more.

If you’re feeling peckish there will be lots to choose from, some of which include chocolatiers, chutneys, coffee, cakes, macarons, distillers and more.

l Spalding Rugby Club is set to host its Summer Fun Day event on Saturday from 12pm.

The day will include lots of games to enjoy, displays from local groups, craft stalls, races, inflatable assault course, barbecue, bar and more.

Entry for the event is free and anyone is welcome to come and join in on the summer fun.
