Grantham mezzo soprano to perform recital based on family relationships




A musical recital will explore family relationships.

Elaine Bishop, who is a mezzo soprano, will be performing My House at St Wulfram’s Church, in Grantham, on Saturday (February 17) from 11.30am.

The recital is based on family relationships, and will include My House from Matilda, Moments in the Woods from Into the Woods, Just Around the Corner from The Addams Family and much more.

Elaine, chairperson of the Grantham Operatic Society, has built up a reputation as an accomplished singer, performing with UK and international companies.

Her notable roles include playing Eormenhild in Cantata Eliensis with Cantata Dramatica, HMS Pinafore with Raymond Gubbay productions, Trial by Jury with Opera Minima and Utopia with the G&S Opera Company.

During the recital, she will also be accompanied by Dr Tim Williams.
