Sensational 60s Experience come to Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, with Mike Pender, The Trems, Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich and Vanity Fare
Step back into the Sixties with a night of nostalgia at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall featuring a host of bands and performers from that decade.
The Sensational 60s Experience comes to the venue on Friday (December 2) with a new show.
It features Mike Pender — the original voice of The Searchers, which enjoyed a string of hits in the Sixties, rivalling The Beatles and Gerry and The Pacemakers.
The hits included Needles And Pins, Don’t Throw Your Love Away, Sweets For My Sweet, and When You Walk In The Room.
Joining him on the bill is The Trems, made up of former members of The Tremeloes, whose hits included Even The Bad Times Are Good, Do You Love Me, Call Me Number One and their world-wide number one hit Silence Is Golden.
Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich — originally called Dave Dee And The Bostons — were in the charts for 50 weeks out of 52 in 1966.
Their songs included Bend It, Zabadak and The Legend Of Xanadu plus many more.
The Fortunes first came into prominence in 1964 with their hit single Caroline, which was used as the signature tune for the Pirate Radio Station of the same name.
Other classics include Storm In A Teacup, You’ve Got Your Troubles, Freedom Come Freedom Go.
Finally the band Vanity Fare, known for hits like I Live For The Sun, Early In The Morning and the worldwide classic Hitchin’ A Ride, will complete the bill.
