Regency romp Austentatious returns to Nottingham Playhouse to find more 'lost' Jane Austen novels




Smash-hit Regency comedy romp Austentatious is back and on the search for more ‘lost’ Jane Austen novels.

The improvised comedy show is at Nottingham Playhouse on Wednesday.

Starring a cast of the country’s quickest comic performers, every single show the cast conjures up a new ‘lost’ Jane Austen novel based on nothing more than a title suggested by the audience.

But their Georgian adventures are guaranteed to be packed full of rakish dukes, swooning ladies, and romantic entanglements aplenty.

No two shows are ever the same, with previous ‘lost’ masterpieces including Crazy Rich Georgians, Double 0 Darcy and Game Of Scones.

It is performed in period costume with live musical accompaniment

The show comes fresh from multiple sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, a weekly residency in London’s West End and a BBC Radio 4 Christmas special.
