Nene Valley Rock Festival is about to get underway at Grimsthorpe Castle near Bourne
Rock fans can snap up last-minute tickets for a festival taking place at Grimsthorpe Castle, near Bourne.
The Nene Valley Rock Festival - which takes its name from its previous venue - gets underway on Thursday evening (September 5) with live music, food, drink and entertainment.
Geared at those who enjoy classic, prog and blues rock, the four-day festival features 56 bands including UK rock and prog band Nektar, who will be playing on Friday night with 3D background - 3D glasses will be given out to those there.
On Saturday Darren Wharton’s Renegade, and Son of Man will perform, with Caravan headlining on Sunday.
Each band will play for about an hour, with the audience able to watch them all thanks to alternating stages.
To make sure ticket-holders have a comfortable time, tickets are limited to 1,000, there are luxury loos on site, people can bring their own chairs, plus there will be plenty of food and drink choices that include real ales, lager, wine, spirits and soft drinks.
After Thursday’s opening night, the music starts from 11am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with last orders at the bar at 11.20pm.
Four-day tickets are £169, while one-day tickets are £40 for Thursday, and £65 for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Under 15s tickets are £15 and £20 respectively.
