Emma Dennis Edwards' Funeral Flowers to be performed at Nottingham Playhouse
Award-winning one-woman show Funeral Flowers is performed at Nottingham Playhouse on Friday, May 13.
Written by Emma Dennis-Edwards, it follows the story of 17-year-old Angelique who longs to be a florist and is forced to navigate the care system when her mother is incarcerated.
Part story, part poetry, the play was inspired by the life of Gina Moffat, who began her own floristry business while incarcerated at HMP Holloway.
Funeral Flowers, starring Sarel Madziya, is touring after a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe and will visit several prisons as part of its tour.
It is recommended for those aged 16 and over.
