The Jungle Book and Alice In Wonderland coming to Newark Castle
The fun continues for children at Newark with more outdoor theatre productions in the castle grounds.
This time, families can join Mowgli, Baloo, Kaa and King Louie when The Jungle Book comes to the castle on Wednesday, August 17.
Packed with fun, laughter and plenty of audience participation, this new show promises to be a visual treat for the whole family.
There are performances at 11am, 1.30pm and 4pm.
Another classic is brought to life at the castle with Alice In Wonderland on Tuesday, August 23, at 4.30pm.
Meet some strange and peculiar characters, including the mysterious Cheshire Cat, the wacky Mad Hatter and the foul-tempered Queen of Hearts, in this family show filled with live music and puppetry.
The Palace At The Castle season ends with Pirates Of Penzance on Friday, September 2, performed by a cast of six.
Despite the reduction in scale, Illyria theatre company promises not a single word from WS Gilbert’s libretto is cut, nor a single note or harmony from Sir Arthur Sullivan’s score unsung.
