West Pinchbeck Tractor Run will return this Sunday

If you’re in West Pinchbeck this Sunday, don’t be surprised when you see an entourage of tractors come your way.

The popular tractor run will return this Sunday, with the vehicles first leaving the field at West Pinchbeck Village Hall at 10am and returning at 11.30am.

In between their drive, refreshments and a barbecue will be on offer.

Wendy Houghton, one of the event’s organisers, said: “Our number of tractors has been building up.

“They’ll go on a run round the local area.

“There’s a big raffle, because some local businesses have given us good prizes for that.

“People can look at the tractors before they go and when they come back, and have a talk to the drivers. Some of them have some quite old ones.”

Wendy says there will be a good mix of vintage and newer tractors.

The event was cancelled last year because of Covid-19 restrictions, and she can’t wait to get it back up and running.

“Oh definitely,” she said.

“It’s a very popular event in the village and beyond, really.”

To register or to get details of the route, phone Janet or Paul on 07761 862509.

All proceeds from the tractor run will be donated to St Bartholomew’s Church in West Pinchbeck.
