Chance to try fitness classes, activities and sports for free in Surfleet in April
A free fitness day is being held next month for people to try a range of exercise classes for adults, plus walking football and 'learn to cycle' for children.
Spalding-based Give It Some Fizz Fitness, Sports and Education, is hosting the day on Sunday, April 14, at Surfleet Village Hall in Station Road, Surfleet, from 10am-2pm.
Throughout the day, people can try out Boxercise, a fitness class which includes partner and pad work based on moves from boxing; a boot camp class; battle ropes (a work out using weighted ropes that works both the arms and legs); and Renew class (a blend of exercises based on Tai Chi, Pilates and yoga).
There will also be the chance to try out walking football for adults; and youngsters aged 3-8 years old can come along with their parents or carers to have fun on the balance bikes in a Balanceability session. These are children's bicycles without pedals - so a great way to learn to begin to ride a bike without the aid of stabilisers.
Free taster sessions are planned as follows:10am Balanceability; 10.45am Battle Ropes / Boot camp; 11.30am Boxercise; 12.30pm Walking Football; 1.15pm Renew class.
Holly Barrett, from Give It Some Fizz, said: "We are very excited about the variety of exercises that we provide to people of all ages. We often find that people are apprehensive when starting a new exercise regime, so we want people to have an opportunity to experience it before making a decision on which exercise they prefer."
