Hats Funny Comedy announces Rutland shows in Ketton and Cottesmore
Stand-up comedy returns to two village venues thanks to a county-based promoter.
South Luffenham-based Hats Funny Comedy will showcase new acts and new material at the Sun Inn, Cottesmore, on Sunday (May 26) for the Sun’s Out, Puns Out night from 7pm.
The evening will feature at least five comedians, trying out new ideas and tightening up their punchlines. It could be an experienced comedian trying out some new material, or a new comic looking for all-important stage time.
Tickets are available at £6 from www.ticketsource.co.uk/Hatsfunnycomedy
And there’s more laughter in Rutland on Saturday, June 1 (8pm) when Hats Funny returns to Ketton Sports and Social Club.
Lovdev Barpaga, billed as ‘the ultimate feelgood comic’ opens the night ahead of Daniel Blacow, who has taken the comedy world by storm with his fantasy world-driven humour over the last 12 to 18 months.
Northamptonshire comic Nuala Ryan presents her relatable tales of life as a bankrupt cat lady before headliner Markus Birdman takes the mic.
The award-winning comedian, a semi-finalist in Britain’s Got Talent last year, was one of the first British comics to have his own Netflix Special - Live in Amsterdam and has written and performed 12 Edinburgh Festival solo shows.
MC for the evening is Mr Hats Funny Comedy himself, Ian Hayes.
Tickets are £12 in advance, or £80 for a table of eight at www.ticketsource.co.uk/Hatsfunnycomedy
On the door entry will be £15.
