'Untold Stories' will be told at Crowland Abbey in September

Next month, visitors will be asked to embrace their inner-curiosity in Crowland.

Crowland Abbey will play host to a number of open days in September, with an ‘Untold Stories’ theme being incorporated.

A number of the town’s myths and legends will be dotted around the venue for visitors to read, with different activities also on offer.

Things will kick of on Friday September 10, with tower tours to the belfry running between 11am and 1pm.

A churchyard trail begins at 12pm, before bell ringing demonstrations between 2pm and 4pm.

These activities will be repeated the following Saturday (September 18).

On September 12 and 19, the myths and legends will be on display - with hopes for some live music in the afternoon.

Visitors will be able to choose between heading on tours themselves or enlisting the help of guides.

All visitors will still be required to sanitise their hands, wear masks and provide contact details.

Entry to all events will be free, but donations would be appreciated.
