Vibrant displays set for Whaplode in a special village event
Take in an array of floral displays at the Whaplode Flower Festival this weekend.
The annual event will be taking place at St Mary’s Church in Whaplode from Friday, May 26 to Monday, May 29, between 10am and 4pm.
Volunteers from the church and community have been working hard to create some vibrant displays of flowers and more for visitors to enjoy.
Every year the church have different themes for the event and this year the chosen theme is celebrations of hobbies and holidays.
The event is free to attend and visitors can enjoy a selection of stalls, a raffle which includes an £150 prize and a range of refreshments including homemade cakes.
There will be a model railway display on the Saturday and Sunday in the village hall, a craft fayre on Monday and a songs of praise service on Sunday at 4.30pm.
All of the proceeds made from the festival will be going to the church roof fund.
