The well loved Pinchbeck carnival is set to come back later this year




Pinchbeck Carnival is looking for a new Queen, Prince and Princess to star in the upcoming village event later this year.

Organisers are encouraging everyone to put themselves forward for the royal roles.

To take part in the competition you must either live, go to school or belong to an organisation in Pinchbeck and Pinchbeck West.

Anyone interested in the Queen role must be aged between 11- 16 and the Prince and Princess must be aged between 6-8 and 9-11.

Judging and crowning will take place at Pinchbeck Village Hall on Saturday, March 4.

The entry fee is payable on the door at £2 for adults and £1 for children.

It’s free to entrants who are looking to win their titles.

Doors will open at 7pm on the night and refreshments and soft drinks will be on sale.

Visitors can enjoy an evening of entertainment, comedy, singing, dancing and a raffle with different prize’s.

Jeff Woods, otherwise known as Pavanotti, will compere the night.

He said: “I’ve compered the carnival cabaret for several years now and it never fails to be a wonderful happy evening.

He added: “I am very proud of Pinchbeck and the lovely people, long may the Carnival and its Cabaret continue to reflect the very best of our village.”

The carnival will be taking place on Saturday, June 10.
