Wistow Maze - Wistow, LE8 0QF. 10am to 6pm. Eight-acre maize maze in shape of Queen’s crown to mark the jubilee year. Activity funyard, games and Wistow Rural Centre opposite with café, garden centre, model village, art gallery and shops. Open daily until September 4 and then weekends only until September 18.

Stamford Stories photographic exhibition - Photograher and journalist Kingsley Singleton’s work will be on display at Stamford Arts Centre gallery, St Mary’s Street. Runs until September 4.

Saturday, Aug 27

Glastonlenny - Danish Invader pub, Empingham Road, Stamford. Midday to 10pm. Live music from seven bands, fajitas and cakes, raffle, tombola. Raising funds for Fop Friends charity - research into Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP)

Charity fete - Market Overton Bowls Club, 11am to 3pm. Proceeds to the Royal Papworth Hospital.

Bulwick Horticultural Show - St Nicholas Church, public viewing during the afternoon with teas and stalls in the village centre.

Stamford Diversity Festival Artisans Fair 10am – 3pm Stamford Arts Centre ballroom, St Mary’s Street.

Arts for Rutland exhibition - Rutland County Museum, Oakham. Open until Saturday, October 1.

Summer Fine Food Market - 10am to 4pm, Burghley House. Includes 45 producers in the stable courtyards. Free parking and admission.

Stamford Car Show, Stamford Meadows, 10am to 5pm. 500 display vehicles, Lancaster Bomber flypast (3.45pm), fire engine, children’s rides and games, refreshments.

Monday, Aug 29 (Bank Holiday)

Stamford Diversity Festival - Stamford Recreation Ground, Recreation Ground Road, Stamford, 11am to 6pm. A free celebration of world music, art, food and drink.
