Harrowby United are through to the final of the South Kesteven Charity Cup

Harrowby United have made six new signings as preparations continue for their United Counties League campaign.

The promoted Arrows have signed Joe Nicholson, Isaac Hutton, Zikora Okonkwo, Reuban Nwadike, Ethan Greenidge and Marley Hamilton ahead of their new Premier Division North campaign.

Greenidge and Nwadike both made the switch from Dunkirk after impressing against the Arrows in their Division One matches last season.

Boss Jamie McGhee said: "I set out to get Ethan as soon as the season finished as I was really impressed with him when we played Dunkirk.

"I felt we needed a player of his quality, pace and energy with us and he's been a great addition to the group.

"Reuban also really stood out last season. He's a tough tackling midfielder who can also play centre-half.

"He gets around the pitch incredibly well and likes to get on the ball to make things tick. I felt a player of Reuban's quality deserves to play higher so we had to go in for him."

Hutton also stood out against the Arrows last season while playing for Holwell Sports.

McGhee commented: "We've played against him plenty of times so we were already aware of his ability.

"Isaac has been really impressive during training and even more so during his first two pre-season games.

"He's a player I think the fans will really enjoy watching and he'll add additional quality to our defensive unit."

Nicholson played at step five last season with Pinchbeck United having previously been with Lincoln United.

McGhee added: "Nicho is a player who we were recommended to look at during pre-season.

"He comes with experience of step five and a good understanding of the requirements for this level.

"I've been really impressed with him throughout pre-season and he's performed well during the two games. He's shown versatility in his play."

Okonkwo has recently relocated to the area from Aylesbury and had requested a trial with the Arrows.

McGhee explained: "Zee has lots of potential. He has plenty of pace, is skilful and also hard-working.

"He's had a good pre-season and I like what I've seen from him so far. I feel he'll be an excellent addition to the squad because he has a great attitude and willingness to learn."

Striker Hamilton has higher level experience and the Arrows' promotion have helped secure his services.

McGhee said: "Marley is a player who I have been after for a couple of years but I was never able to lure him to us.

"With our promotion and his desire to play and settle within a squad, it was an absolute no-brainer to approach him again.

"He's a striker who is positive and direct on the pitch and will certainly add goals to our tally when the new season arrives."

A number of key players from last season's squad have also committed to the Arrows.

Elliot King, Kyle Reek, Lewis Marsh, Jesse Anderson, Taylor Gray and Toby Lee have followed in the footsteps of Jake Frestle, Kemal Yeniberitz, Jack Gurney, Harry Allcock, Jon Smith, Tom Harris, Harrison Dee and Brima Daramy are staying with the club.

Daramy netted the goal for Harrowby in their South Kesteven Cup semi-final clash with Sleaford Town on Saturday.

The Arrows played out a 1-1 draw with their new Premier Division North rivals before winning 7-6 on penalties as goalkeeper Frestle saved two spot kicks.

They will now face Deeping Rangers in the final at Grantham Town on Saturday (3.30pm).

Harrowby went down to a 4-0 away defeat in their friendly at higher level Carlton Town on Tuesday night.
