Police name teenagers killed following two-car collision at North Rauceby

The two teenagers who died following a two-vehicle collision last week have been named.

A 17-year-old driver and 18-year-old passenger were killed when the black Ford Fiesta they were travelling in collided with a grey Audi on Newark Road, North Rauceby at 9.41pm on Thursday, June 20.

“We can now name the two boys who died following the collision at Rauceby as 17-year-old William Ray, known as Will, and 18-year-old Eddie Shore,” a Lincolnshire Police statement said.

“Both families have asked for privacy while they deal with their loss.

“Two other boys who were travelling in the same car continue to receive medical care.

“Our enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing, and we would ask that people do not speculate about what happened; such speculation is both very distressing for the families of those who have died and those who were injured, and can harm the investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to email SCIUinvestigators@lincs.police.uk quoting the incident number 495 of Thursday, June 20.
