A16 shut between Sutterton and Kirton after ‘serious collision’

A section of the A16 is shut this morning (Monday) after what police have described as a ‘serious collision’.

The road is currently closed between Sutterton and Kirton after what is being described as a multi-vehicle crash.

The circumstances of the incident, which is said to have occurred in the last hour, are not yet known. It’s the second serious incident on the A16 in the last two days – after a crash at Crowland yesterday.

However, a police spokesman said: “Emergency services are on the scene and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible as delays are likely.”
