Spalding Town Fete at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens promises family fun day fundraiser for next year’s Spalding Flower Parade

A family fun day featuring 30 stalls, garden games and exciting activities is taking place at a town’s historic gardens.

The Spalding Town Fete is a fundraising event in aid of next year’s flower parade and is happening at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens on Sunday (August 25).

Visitors will be able to enjoy live entertainment, an elf and fairy door hunt, games plus sweets and craft stalls.

Volunteer Robert Adnams, who sorts out the stalls, said: “The stalls will be selling lots of different stuff.

“The event is free entry and it will be a great family fun day.”

There are still some additional places for vendors to book a stall which costs £30 for the pitch.

Last year’s event proved popular with families and this year’s event looks to do the same.

Picnics can be brought into the gardens of the historic venue, a Grade I listed building and landmark of the town.

The fete will start at 10am until 4pm and all are welcome at the medieval venue where there are accessible toilets in the pavilion next to the Ayscoughfee Café.

Funds will go towards next May’s Spalding Flower Parade which takes place on May, 10, 2025 starting from Springfields Events and Conference Centre.
