Customers queue over the weekend for new Spalding business which sells ‘the best’ fresh cakes from London and more
A new store which offers ‘the best’ fresh cakes from London, has already become a popular spot for customers – as many queued over the weekend to visit.
Delicatessen Super Market, on Sheep Market, Spalding, opened on Saturday and saw a number of people waiting outside the shop all day, to see what was on offer.
The shop was previously home to the electrical appliance store, Hughes, which closed the doors at the beginning of February this year, to continue trading online.
Confident shop owner, Zerrin Cagdas, is not worried about the competition of other stores in the area, said: “I have learnt everything I know from my dad and working in his shop – I have a lot of experience.
“I don’t see the shops as competition because we are the best. I’ve been to them and they don’t offer what we do – there is no good shop in Spalding that sells fresh produce.
“I’m really happy and excited. We were very busy and we had queues all day on Saturday when we opened.”
The super market includes a butchery, deli and bakery area, and also sells fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen and dairy products, medicine and lots more. It will be open every day from 7am until 10pm.
Zerrin added: “Our customers are really happy and keep saying how much they like the fresh produce, good prices and space.
“Our cakes are the best fresh cakes from London and are shipped to us the same day they are made. Customers really like how fresh they are and I think they are delicious.
“I am hoping to stay here and depending on the demand, we could expand to different areas – you never know what can happen.”
