Pippa’s Pantry celebrates in style as owner Pippa Jones marks five years of trading in Sutton Bridge
A cafe celebrated its fifth anniversary with a party.
Pippa Jones opened Pippa’s Pantry in Sutton Bridge in 2019 and since then it has gone from strength to strength.
Duo Two of a Kind performed at a celebration which was held to mark this milestone anniversary.
Pippa said: “I think with everything that the pantry has been through from the start and with Covid, to get through five years we have done alright.
“It is amazing to feel the community support and we were fully booked inside and out.
“It just shows that there is a community here.”
Guests were helping with the washing up, clearing tables and even helping Pippa behind the counter due to the event’s popularity . Extra people also brought their own chairs to sit on the green.
Pippa said: “Everyone had a boogie and I was given tons of cards, gifts and flowers.
“Talk about community spirit. It was packed and busy all day.
“It was great to have a little celebration.”
Plans will now start for Christmas trading and Pippa annually donates hampers around the village on Christmas morning.
Though she has plans to retire and potentially move abroad she feels it would be hard to let go of her business.
She said: “For me to let go would be very difficult.
“I am so attached to it.”
