The grand opening of an exciting new salon was a big success.

Bratz Lounge on The Crescent in Spalding, welcomed visitors with bubbly and goodie bags, after officially opening for customers on Saturday and Sunday.

“Over the weekend we had between 80 and 100 people turn up, and lots of them brought their children for pictures against the spray painted wall.”

The quirky salon will be open Monday-Friday from 9am and 7pm, Saturdays at 9am and 3pm and Sundays between 10am and 12pm, and is set to provide various beauty, hair and nail treatments for new and old customers.

Charlotte added: “We have noticed younger girls are becoming more experimental with their nail choices by adding gems and other bits like that, so we wanted a space where that could happen.”

Bratz Lounge served customers glasses of prosecco and goodie bags filled with items such as vouchers, different samples and sweets to celebrate the opening.

Charlotte’s daughter, Olivia Lauberts, will be working in the nail area of the salon to create bespoke and creative designs for customers.

She said: “It’s really exciting. I like to do different designs which are often a bit out there, and I will now be able to do all of those here, which is nice.”

The business worked with street artist Honr (Karl Barfoot) - who spray painted the eye-catching Bratz Lounge logo on the wall – and Olivia also helped to design the area by hand painting cow print and pink love hearts.

Charlotte added: “We are looking forward to seeing clients have some other good stylists coming over to the salon soon, so we are excited about that too.”
