Take on ‘fiery’ food challenges at Feed Your Face-tival in Spalding

Can you handle the heat? Organisers of a new summer festival have released the details of a ‘fiery’ line-up for you to put that to the test.

Whether you’re a food enthusiast, a competitive eater, or simply looking for a great day out, Feed Your Face-tival is set to showcase some of the county’s tastiest treats.

Jodie Mason and Hannah Joe, who are the brains behind Lincolnshire Makers Market and Lincolnshire Honey and Jackalope Joe Coffee, have joined forces to create the new event – which is set to take place at Springfields Events and Conference Centre in Spalding, on Saturday, July 19, between 11am and 6pm.

Alongside the wide range of attractions which include street food vendors, artisan producers, live musicians, workshops, bubbleologists, lawn games and more, the two Lincolnshire-based entrepreneurs have now announced this years headline eating challenges…

Chilli Eating Competition

Think you can handle the spice? This fiery contest has been made to push participants to their limits –with ten rounds of fresh chillies, dried peppers, and increasingly hot sauces.

Organisers say “It’s a test of endurance that’s not for the faint-hearted’.

Man VS Hot Dog Challenge

There will be no time to dilly dally in this next challenge.

Speed is key if you want to be the first to finish a fully-loaded, spicy footlong hot dog.

It’s promised to be fast, fun and it’s packed with heat.

Hot Wings Challenge

Described by organisers as the most ‘extreme’ of the three, this category will see competitors ace five rounds of progressively hotter wings. Only the toughest will make it to the end.

The winners of each round will get the chance to win a Badger’s Chilli Kitchen hamper – although you might want to have a glass of milk before enjoying the goodies inside.

All of the categories cost £15 to enter.
