Temporary traffic signals to be introduced on A16 roundabout at Spalding

Temporary traffic signals will be introduced to a busy A16 roundabout next week.

The traffic light system will be in place at the Springfields roundabout at Spalding, running from 9pm to 6am.

The signals will be in place for just over two weeks from Monday, September 2 until Monday, September 16.

Signage has gone up on the A16 to warn motorists.

The roundabout is currently undergoing a 12-month widening project as part of a £20 million Levelling Up plan for the A16, however, Lincolnshire County Council have warned that weather issues mean the work will not be completed until late autumn.

Also part of the project is the nearby Greencell roundabout, which links the A16 with Pinchbeck via the B1180.

This road has been closed since July 15, but it is expected to reopen next week.
