GCSE results 2024: University Academy Long Sutton principal congratulates ‘so many smiling, happy faces’ as pupils celebrate hard work and dedication
As pupils collected their GCSE results an academy principal congratulated them for their ‘hard work and dedication over the last five years.’
Liam Davé, principal of University Academy Long Sutton (UALS) commented on the many smiling faces seen opening their certificates.
He said: “We are really proud of our learners and their achievements.
“In particular, we are delighted by the really pleasing performance of art, drama and statistics.
“It is a real testimony to the hard work of pupils from all backgrounds that the top five performers in terms of progress include pupils from a very wide range of learner groups.”
He went on to say how UALS is an establishment that caters for the needs of all of its pupils and the ‘excellent’ Progress8 scores across all subjects.
Principal Davé added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and carers for the support they have offered their children over the last five years, often driving their children to school for extra lessons on a weekend in the depths of winter.
“Lastly, I must also thank all of the staff and governors for the work, support and dedication that they continue to give to ensure our pupils have achieved as well as they have."
