GCSE results 2024: Schools from Grantham, Stamford, Rutland, Spalding, Deepings and Bourne
The wait is over as GCSE results are out today.
We will bring you news and photos from schools across the area, as we did for last week’s A-level results.
The results are the culmination of two years’ hard work and opens the doors to a post-16 education.
In 2017, the grading system was changed to numbers and there are nine - and the higher the number, the better the result.
Lincolnshire County Council’s executive member for children’s services Patricia Bradwell (Con) said: “GCSEs are a major milestone, and I’m sure the children’s hard work over the years will be reflected in another set of good results.
“While I’m sure that the vast majority of pupils will get the grades they need for their future plans, there will undoubtedly be some who are disappointed with their results. I’d like to remind them to stay positive and make the most of the support that is available to help them weigh up their options.
“I look forward to hearing about our local success stories and wish all our young people the very best for the future, whatever their next steps might be.”
