GCSE results 2024: Uppingham School celebrates best grades in years

Pupils at a public school clocked up high scores in their GCSEs.

GCSE results at Uppingham School are the best in recent years, aside from when special contingencies were in place because of covid.

This followed the same trend as the school’s 2024 cohort of A-level pupils which also achieved the strongest academic results in the past decade.

Across the board, the results demonstrate an all-round strength in the sciences, mathematics, humanities and creative subjects.

Headmaster of Uppingham School, Dr Richard Maloney, said: “We are immensely proud of all that this cohort has achieved.

“These results are a reflection of their hard work and dedication, marking an important step in their educational journey.

“We look forward to welcoming them back to Uppingham at the end of August and to seeing all that they achieve in the next stage of their education.

“We know they have a huge amount of energy and talent to offer Uppingham's sixth form.”
