A43 closed near Bulwick, Deene and Weldon after crash

An air ambulance has attended a crash on a road being used by traffic diverted from an earlier incident.

The A43 is closed at Bulwick and police, paramedics and an air ambulance were called to the scene.

It is understood the accident happened at about 11.40am although details as to the vehicles and people involved are not yet known.

The A43 had become busier this morning (Thursday, August 8) because a 27-year-old man was hit by a vehicle and killed on the A1 near Wittering at 12.30am.

The A1 was closed in both directions until lunchtime today.
