More than 30 Lincolnshire and Rutland pubs added to this year’s CAMRA Good Beer Guide
More than 30 pubs from our area are raising a glass after being named as new entries in this year’s Good Beer Guide.
A total of 29 Lincolnshire hostelries - the highest number across the East Midlands - have been added to this year’s tome, put together by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
A further three pubs in Rutland have also been added to the 52nd edition of the guide, seen as the beer drinker’s bible.
Among the new entries are The Swan at Moulton, The Green Man and Millstone at Stamford, The Blue Pig and White Lion at Grantham, The Plough Inn at Horbling and the Malcolm Arms at Frith Bank.
Rutland’s new pub entries are Oakham’s Captain Noel Newton and Wheatsheaf, plus the Exeter Arms at Uppingham.
Lincolnshire leads the way for entries in this year’s guide - on sale now - with 110 entries.
There are 95 Derbyshire entries, 73 Nottinghamshire entries, 67 Leicestershire entries, 45 Northamptonshire entries and seven Rutland entries.
As well as covering 396 of the very best pubs across the region, the guide includes 96 new pub entries across these six counties.
Across the East Midlands there have been 29 new entries from Lincolnshire, 19 from both Derbyshire and Leicestershire, 17 from Nottinghamshire, nine from Northamptonshire and three from Rutland.
The CAMRA Good Beer Guide is the UK’s best-selling beer and pub guide, and this year’s edition sports two covers both featuring much-loved boozers - Coronation Street’s Rovers Return Inn and Emmerdale’s Woolpack.
The Guide, which lists 4,500 of the best pubs across the UK, is the definitive beer drinker’s guide for those seeking the best pints in the nations’ pubs - and is on sale now.
Despite the tough trading environment facing a lot of licensees, they continue to battle against the odds, and the 2025 Guide boasts over 900 pubs that are new to this edition.
Information in the Guide is collated by thousands of CAMRA volunteers who give up their time every year to select the best of the best across the UK.

CAMRA chairman Ash Corbett-Collins said: “The Rovers Return Inn and the Woolpack represent the UK’s love of their local, and to have them featured on the covers for this year’s Guide is very exciting.
“CAMRA’s mission is to ensure support from the Government as well as tangible legislation to protect pubs in this country. By next year’s edition of the Guide, we want to be talking about the beer and pub trade growing with the support of communities and parliament alike.”
This year’s Guide is sponsored by Midland Snacks Traditional Pork Scratchings and endorsed by Cask Marque.
