Spalding artisan chocolate maker Wicked Temper set to open store in The Crescent

An artisan chocolate shop is going to make a sweet addition to a town centre street.

Niall Holland is looking forward to opening Wicked Temper in The Crescent, Spalding, on Saturday, March 22.

Wicked Temper was born after the chef was inspired to start making his own chocolates by his mum Louise during the covid lockdown. He enjoys experimenting with different flavours and styles.

Mr Holland, who originally sold his chocolates on Etsy, has become a regular at the Lincolnshire Makers Markets by attending up to ten a year.

But now he is busy transforming the former ‘Parky’s Pranks’ joke shop at the top of The Crescent into his first shop.

Mr Holland said: “I thought I would give it a go and see what happens.

“This is a street of independent retailers.”

The shop has started to look smarter with a new door and painted walls plus Mr Holland has plans to install displays to show off his delicious chocolates.

Mr Holland uses high quality Belgian chocolate for his creations — and his range currently includes Easter Eggs.

His products include Raspberry and Pistachio Ruby Chocolate, Popping Candy, Banoffe Gold and Sour Cherry. He also sells hot chocolate.

The shop will be open Tuesdays to Saturdays.
